Hi, my name is Ell Bailey and I've always loved food. Planning for it, shopping for it, preparing it, serving it, eating it. Love it!
About a year ago a very close friend (who basically just doesn't like cooking) was waiting to join her husband overseas and bemoaning the fact that she would now have to cook dinner each night for herself. I thought I'd help out and so prepared about 30 meals for her to put in the freezer. Fish pie, sausages and mash, garlic chicken with sherry sauce, coq au vin ... she was very happy. It occurred to me that if I could do that for her then I could do it for other people who want to eat well but simply run out of time to shop and cook at the end of a busy day (or just don't like cooking!), resulting in either take-away or ready meals from the supermarket.
I decided to make delicious home cooked meals with no additives or preservatives, cooked on the same day or the day before delivery so they could be eaten fresh or frozen for later use. And thanks to a childhood nickname given to me by my sisters and brother, EllyBelly was born!
My commitment is to provide fabulous home cooked meals at affordable prices for all those who want to eat well. That's what EllyBelly is all about.
